Special Guests
Mr. Laroche visited our school last week. He is Juno Award winner for sound effects. He invented a box with a drum and a microphone. Mr. Laroche spoke French and English to us. He made lots of interesting sounds and played the harmonica.
Mr. Bouchard came to our school today. He is a famous Canadian Metis author. He has wrote 74 books. His message was that anyone can become a good reader, you just need to find that one book. Also, stories from your grandparents are better for you than television because they use your imagination. He showed us and played flutes to tell us stories about Raven, Crow and his dad. Mr. Bouchard taught us about the Seven Teachings. If your grandparents run out of stories tell you, ask your teachers or go to the library to find new stories.

First Senior Buddy Visit
It was so nice to meet our new senior buddies and see our buddies from last year. We decorated gourds for our senior buddies to have in their rooms for Thanksgiving. It is a nice little keepsake! We brought pumpkin tarts to share. They were so tasty!

Third Annual Farmyard Friends
Three Grades 1/2 Multi-age classrooms created an exciting Farmyard Petting Zoo with twenty one booths of activities and information. Our first stop was to learn The Chicken Dance by the barn. That was really fun! They incubated chicken and duck eggs for their learning in science this term. Money raised goes to our village project in Enelerai. It was a blast! Thank you for all your hard work students!

Awesome Aboriginal Dance Presentation
We were lucky to watch the amazing dancers! There were four girls dancing with hoops. There was an Eagle Dance too. The music was a combination of old and new aboriginal dance.
Field Trip Excitement!
This past Monday, we went to the Man and Nature Museum in Winnipeg. The Science Gallery was awesome because of all the cool things to do. You could touch everything! Another favourite for the day was exploring the Nonsuch. The Nonsuch is a ship from the early 1900's. It sailed four summers from Canada to Europe.
